Roan Vollmer (Class ‘A’ C.P.G.A.)
Roan brings a wealth of experience to the Pro Impact Golf team that stems from his early introduction to this wonderful game from a polished golf background that was rich in wisdom and history. Roan has already met goals and achieved personal success’ in his young career that bode well in his certain design to carry on the tradition.
Roan was born in Prince George, British Columbia and at an early age, moved to Vancouver. Under the tutelage of his father, Wayne Vollmer (past BCPGA President, CPGA Education Chairman, and BC Golf Hall of Fame inductee), Roan began his journey to become a CPGA Golf Professional. As a junior member of Point Grey Golf & C.C., Roan became active in Vancouver’s Junior Tour and Inter-club circuits, attaining his first tournament win at the Junior Provincial Qualifier. Roan continued his successful amateur career by winning the Rolling Meadows Junior Club Championship, and competing at the B.C. Amateur’s Championship.

Roan earned a post-secondary diploma in Professional Golf Management/Business through Georgian College. During this time, he received his CPGA apprenticeship and, in 2002, joined the York Downs Golf &C.C. Professional Staff team. During his 6 year tenure at York Downs, Roan achieved the CPGA Class “A” status and subsequently advanced to the position of First Associate. Over the course of his final four years, Roan became York Downs’ top teaching professional, coaching and developing all Ladies Clinics and Junior Clinics, and maintaining a student base of 165 players. In 2009Roan received the position of Head Golf Professional at the revered 1926 Stanley Thompson designed Oakdale Golf & Country Club and currently teaches and coaches over 125 students.
